Abstract

Serotonin is a crucial neurotransmitter in the brain, commonly known as the “hormone of happiness” due to its significant impact on the mood, mental harmony, well-being and happiness. The role of serotonin in human well-being It encompasses emotional, physical and mental aspects, play an essential role in regulating mood. Evidence indicates that low levels of serotonin are associated with depression, anxiety and other mood disorders, medical conditions that affect different areas of functioning of the individual.
