Alcohol consumption in adolescent girls: a call to action for middle and low income countries

Abstract
La evidencia epidemiológica ha señalado que el alcohol es la sustancia psicoactiva más consumida por los adolescentes, debido a factores como su aceptación social, su legalidad y su fácil accesibilidad; asimismo, el consumo en hombres adolescentes es proporcionalmente mayor en comparación con las mujeres de la misma edad, pero existen reportes que señalan que el uso de alcohol en las adolescentes ha presentado incrementos a través del tiempo (Degenhardt, Stockings, Patton, Hall, & Lynskey, 2016).
