Revista Internacional de Investigación en Adicciones (RIIAD) is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal that, since January 2026, has adopted a continuous publication model. Under this publishing model, the journal maintains its semiannual publication frequency. Two issues are published each year: the first issue opens in January and closes in June, while the second issue opens in July and closes in December.

RIIAD does not charge authors any Article Processing Charges (APCs) or manuscript submission fees. Likewise, the journal does not charge readers to access, download, or read its content. The journal operates on the principle that providing free and unrestricted access to research promotes the global exchange of scientific knowledge.
